Hwy 88 collisions all from NO CHAINS per CHP

  December 17, 2018 at 12:10 AM:  There have been several collisions on Hwy 88 in the Silver Lake and Kirkwood area this morning.

   According to reports, every one has been a result of drivers not having chains.

Big rig stuck in mud in Escalon

   December 17, 2018 at 12:05 PM:  A big rig that tried to make a U-turn on Murphy Road in Escalon is now stuck in the mud an blocking the roadway.

   CHP and a big tow truck are responding to the scene.

Car vs. tree in Avery

   December 17, 2018 at 11 AM:  A car has reportedly run off Avery-Sheep Ranch Road, down the embankment and into a tree near Timber Trails.

  No injuries have been indicated. A tow truck is responding to the scene.

Car vs. fence in Linden

   December 17, 2018 at 9:05 AM:  A car left Hwy 26 and went through a fence on Hwy 26 at Wimer Road in the Linden area.

   CHP is responding. It isn't known if there are injuries.

Chains required on Hwy 4

   December 17, 2018 at 9 AM:  Chains are now required on Hwy 4 at Cabbage Patch.
 
   If headed for skiing, don't forget to carry them, and drive slowly.

Car fire on Murphys Grade Road

   December 17, 2018 at 8AM:  A car fire has been reported on Murphys Grade Road near Fairview Park Road outside Angels Camp.

  Fire personnel are responding to the scene.
