Barfight at RANGE// Admin Officer Alt taken to hospital

Alt was just recently hired
to be the new Admin Officer
According to a Calaveras Sheriff's Office press release on October 12, 2019 around 11 PM deputies were called to the Range Bar on Quail Oaks Drive in
Valley Springs for a physical fight.

Albert Alt, Calaveras County Administrative Officer, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries
and the Sheriff's Office began an investigation.

Apparently no one wanted to report
Robitaille. Fellow customers were
seemingly on his side of the fight!
On October 13, 2019 around 7 PM deputies arrested Benjamin David Robitaille (38) at his Valley Springs residence.

Robitaille was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Assault and Battery and was
released on $110,000 bail.

  9. Isn't that bar where some of the current supervisors and previous supervisors go to fill their troughs? I wonder if the CAO will go after the county for not warning him about the atmosphere in the bar? Which three supervisors were in the bar? Were they discussing county politics?
