Cars stuck in snow

  February 4, 2019 at 1:50 AM:  Various problems around the county due to the rain and low snow.

   Don't drive up the mountain without chains! A car is stuck in the snow at Railroad Flat Road and Ridge Road.

Snowing in Murphys

   February 4, 2019 at 1:45 PM:  We just heard that it is snowing in Murphys now.

   Stay off the roads if possible.

Collision on Hwy 26

   February 4, 2019 at 1:05 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 26 near Barney Way in West Point.

   No injuries have been indicated. A tow truck is responding. Be cautious if headed that way.

Mudslide on Hwy 4

   February 4, 2019 at 1 PM:  A mud and rock slide has been reported on Hwy 4 and Manzanita Drive near the old powerhouse in Murphys, as it does every year.

   Caltrans has been called in to clear the roadway. Be cautious if headed that way. How they EVER got permits to build that driveway is beyond most of us. Oh, Tryon???

Rams held their own...but then lost the Superbowl to Patriots

   The Rams defense held the Patriots to 3 for three quarters yesterday, but the offense was unable to put enough points on the board.

   Half time was not my cup of tea, and the lack of excitement was probably the reason Levine took off his shirt.  He had California tattoed on his belly.

Chains required in Arnold

   February 4, 2019 at 8:30 AM:  Chains are now required on all non-4-wheel-drive vehicles in Arnold on Hwy 4.

   Drive carefully. Snow is expected to fall a lower levels by tonight. Be prepared.
