No Calaveras Supervisors meeting today

  The Calaveras Supervisors next meeting is February 12, 2019.

   We don't yet have a copy of the agenda. There is no meeting today.

Car slides off road in Pine Grove

   February 5, 2019 at 9:35 AM:  A car slid off Tabeaud Road at Gold Strike Road outside Pine Grove.

   Injuries are not known, but a tow truck is responding.

Collision on Hwy 26

   February 5, 2019 at 9:30 AM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 26 and Mangili Road in Valley Springs.

   No injuries have been indicted, but a tow truck is responding for the vehicle.

Attempted murder arrest

   On February 4, 2019 around 2:50 AM Calaveras Sheriff deputies responded to a residence in

Trees down, power lines down

   February 5, 2019 at 8:40 AM:  A tree and power lines have been reported down on Independence Road and Liberty Hill Road outside Railroad Flat.

   Another report is on Higdon Road and Cedar Lane outside West Point, Railroad Flat Road and Jesus Maria Road.

Chains required in Murphys

   February 5, 2019 at 8:30 AM:  Caltrans is requiring chains on Hwy 4 on all non-4 wheel drive vehicles above Murphys.

   Drive carefully and slow down.  The roads are white with ice, but Caltrans has them safe enough to drive on with 4 wheel drive.

Motorists stranded in flood waters

   February 4, 2019 at 3 PM:  The Calaveras County Sheriff is warning drivers not to try and cross a flooded creek.

   They have already  received emergency calls for cars stuck in flooded creek beds.  Be safe, not sorry.
