Theater workshop in Murphys

   Murphys Creek Theater is announcing an Acting Workshop from February 18 to 24, 2019 at the Black

Cannabis Study Session at BOS

   At the Tuesday February 19, 2019 Calaveras Supervisor meeting, there is a Study Session on cannabis.  The meeting begins at 9 AM.

   The purpose is whether to proceed with a Cannabis Regulatory Ordinance.  Should be interesting with all the nut case McBansters who will likely attend.

They're now calling it the El Nino

   The weather people are now suddenly saying we are being hit with the El Nino weather pattern.

   Flooding, melting all the snow and continuous rain, hail and wind, continues in the Mother Lode areas.

Flooding on Hwy 4 in Arnold

Rivers of mud and water are flooding all the parking lots in Arnold.
The water is coming over the roadway and into Meadowmont
Shopping Center, making it a RIVER.

Tree into neighbor trees and power lines---Lawsuits coming in Hathaway Pines

   Property damage, loss of power, possible negligence will likely result in lawsuits in Hathaway Pines.

Car stuck on flooded road in Arnold

   February 14, 2019 at 11:25 AM:  A car is reportedly stuck on flooded Calaveritas Road at Moran Road in Arnold.

   Emergency personnel are responding to the scene.

County closes Poole Station Road

   February 14, 2019 at 11 AM:  Calaveras County Public Works has completely closed Poole Station Road at both ends due to flooding.

   Do not venture out if you do not have to. The thunder and lightning, along with pouring rain mixed with hail are pervasive throughout the county of Calaveras.

Hwy 12 flooded--Tree down in Railroad Flat

   February 14, 2019 at 10:55 AM:  Hwy 12 is reportedly flooded at Double Springs Road.

Angels Camp City Council meets to approve new Engineers

  On Tuesday February 19, 2019 the Angels Camp City Council will meet at the Firehouse at 6 PM for a regular meeting.

   On the agenda is approval

Tree in power lines in Sonora

   February 14, 2019 at 10:05 AM:  A tree has been reported down in the power lines on Mono Way in Sonora.

   Drive carefully, as there are many traffic hazards this morning in both Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.

Former cop beaten after moved to Connecticut prison

VanDyke at his trial.
     Jason Van Dyke, former Chicago cop convicted and then moved to a Connecticut prison, has allegedly been beaten by cell-mates there.

   He will likely be removed from the general population.

Road flooding in Calaveras County, trees down, power lines down

   UPDATE:  Hwy 49 is backed up in both directions and will have to be turned around. Stay off the roadways if possible.
