Man arrested at Ace Hardware store

   On February 26, 2019 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Donald Ray Lancaster, Jr. (63) of Arnold at the Ace Hardware store. on Blagen Road.

   Lancaster was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Threatening a Crime with Intent to Terrorize, a felony.


 

Angels Camp man arrested for burglary

   On February 25, 2019 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Joseph Ryan Azevedo (27) of Angels Camp at his residence on Stockton Road.

   Azevedo was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Burglary, a felony and for Theft of Personal Property, a misdemeanor.

Man arrested at market

  On February 25, 2019 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Jamey Lynn Maroney (42) of San Andreas at Big Trees Market in Arnold.

   Maroney was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Trespassing and destroying standing timber and Vandalism, defacing property, both misdemeanors.

Car stuck in snow on Hwy 4

   February 24, 2019 at 11:40 AM:  A car reportedly spun out and slid off Hwy 4 and is now stuck in the snow near Cedar Lane in Arnold.

   The roadway is clear, but if you leave the cleared surface and don't have snow tires or chains, you can easily get stuck.  A tow truck is responding.

Another storm headed our way

   According to the weather bureau another storm is set to hit our area this afternoon and will continue through Monday.

   Possible snow down to 2500' so carry chains if headed up the hill.  Slow down and drive carefully, as the roads in Arnold and above on Hwy 4 are icy.

Motorcycle vs. semi on Parrotts Ferry Road

   February 6, 2019 at 10 AM:  A Harley Davidson reportedly struct a semi on Parrotts Ferry Road and the roadway is now blocked, shut down at Hwy 49 in Columbia.
