Driver fell asleep, ran off Hwy 4

   April 8, 2019 at 10:30 PM:  A driver reportedly fell asleep and drove off Hwy 4 near Stallion outside Angels Camp.

   An ambulance and tow truck are responding to the scene.

Tougher gun laws coming to California!!!

   Due to the mentally unstable people who have been reported as having guns anyway, we hear that the California State Assembly and Senate are taking more action.

   We understand there are now plans to toughen the gun laws in the state even more than they are now. Good for them. LOCK those mental cases UP!!

Collision in Lockeford

DUI arrest on Hwy 4

   On April 5, 2019 around 11 PM CHP arrested Jim Charles Uphoff (61) of Arnold on Hwy 4 at Brice Station.

   Uphoff was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged DUI, alcohol or drugs and for DUI over .0% alcohol.  He was released on April 6, 2019, according to the report.

Vehicle vs telephone pole

   April 8, 2019 at 9 AM:  A vehicle reportedly struck a telephone pole and then left the scene at Medina Drive and Sierra View Drive in Arnold.
