Slippery Roads! Drive Carefully!

   May 15, 2019:  We are expecting rain for the next few days, so drive extra carefully because the roads are slippery.

   The Calaveras County Fair, which begins tomorrow, may be a wet one this year.

Fire alarm on Sheep Ranch Road

   May 15, 2019 at 9:20 AM:  Ebbetts Pass Fire is responding to a fire alarm on Sheep Ranch Road in Avery.

   No other details are available at this time.

 

Rape arrest in Avery

  On May 14, 2019 around 10 PM Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Shane David Cather (30) of Avery at his residence on Moran Road.

   Cather was booked into the Calaveras County jail for alleged Rape by force or fear, a felony and for Disorderly Conduct due to Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Head-on collision in Columbia

   May 15, 2019 at 8:30 AM:  A head-on traffic collision has been reported on Parrotts Ferry Road at Union Hill Road in Columbia.

   An ambulance is responding to the scene due to injuries.

Overturned vehicle on Mountain Ranch Road

   May 15, 2019 at 8:15 AM:  An overturned vehicle has been reported on Mountain Ranch Road at Gold Hunter Road in San Andreas.

  No injuries have been indicated. A tow truck is responding.
