Woman taking Macedo's place at Calaveras Sheriff's Office??

    May be hard to believe, but with Undersheriff Macedo retiring it looks as though he will be replaced by a woman.

    Captain Rachelle Whiting has

22 years at the Calaveras Sheriff's Office and has been named to replace Macedo as of October 8, 2022.

   Macedo has never even lived in this county, but was totally devoted to Kuntz.
