Michael R. Seright, 58 of San Mateo, suffered fatal injuries while driving his 2002 Harley Davidson on Hwy 4 east of Pool Station Road. Seright was driving at approximately 55 mph...
which CHP indicates in their report was an unsafe speed, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle traveled off the roadway and down an embankment, colliding with a barbed wire fence, and came to rest in a field. It was determined by CHP that Seright was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His passenger, Deborah F. Elksen, 54, of Copperopolis was wearing a non-DOT approved helmet and was flown to Doctors Hospital via helicopter. Elksen was later flown to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
