Acording to Tom Tryon, the Public Health Department is much more important to fund than our Sheriff's Department. Mentioning influenza and STD's in schools, he simply doesn't seem to be on track with the public, as we all worry about crime, drug use and early prison releases into our county.
After speaking with several local people who at one time supported Tryon in District 4, this issue, and the fact that jobs and the economy, along with law enforcement are not at the top of his list, are causing them to focus more on Debbie Ponte, who seems to have the pulse of the regular people, instead of the special interests and big money that support Tryon.
