August 13, 2013: In the San Bernardino National Forest, the Silver Fire burned for five days, and destroyed 20,292 acres. It is now officially 100% contained.
26 residences, 1 commercial building and 21 outbuildings were destroyed. This fire burned so hot and so fast, people have reported there was no safe place for the wild animals to run. They still do not know the cause of the fire.
