This last weekend the Calaveras High School Orchestra Band won the Gold award for their performance at the Diablo Valley College competition. They had a score of 93 to win which is in the top 10% of the State ratings. This will allow them to be invited to the Fulerton College competition next spring and a visit to the Disney Studios under the Direction of Mr. Bob Feller. The honor of best instrument went to Emma Weathers for her Flute. All of the students put in many hours to achieve these results through fund raisings and donations. The band raises all their money through the Band Boosters Help is always appreciated as there are many new students next year and many more costs involved.
