    March 30, 2026 at 3PM:  A head-on vehicle collision has been reported on Hwy 49 near Big Bar Road outside Mokelumne Hill.

   Three vehicles are involved. An ambulance is responding to the scene.

Motorcycle vs truck on Hwy 88

    March 29, 2026 at 2 PM:  CHP is at the scene of a reported collision of a motorcycl and a truck pulling a horse trailer on Hwy 88 at Previtali Road in Jackson.

   The rider is being flown out with major injuries. Both lanes of Hwy 88 are blocked.

    February 12, 2026 at 7:40 AM;  Chains are required this morning on Hwy 4 in Ebbetts Pass due to snow.

    Cottage Springs is the location where they will be necessary going to Bear Valley.  They got 10 inches in the past 24 hours and 19 inches in the past 72 hours.

    All 174 luxury suites at the Levi Stadium during the Superbowl will be occupied.

   The cost of these suites is from $600,000 to 2.5 million to use during tomorrows game.  Will you be there?

New info on Guthrie case

    February 5, 2026 at 11 AM;   The FBI has informed the press that the deadline for a ransom for Nancy Guthries return is for 5 PM today.

   Also, the FBI is now offering a $50,000 reward for info. as of this morning. Still no sign of Nancy. One person has been arrested for attempting to get money with a false ransom note.

   No injuries have been indicated but the car has major front end damage.

    January 9, 2016 at 7:20 AM:  Caltrans is requiring chains at Cottage Springs on Hwy 4 this morning.
