$1 Million Consulting Contract on Supervisors Agenda

In the beginning of what will be an expensive project, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors has on their Consent Agenda Tuesday, September 11, 2012, a $1,250,000 contract with Dokken Engineering.

This is for the Hwy 4 Wagon Trail Realignment Project between Copperopolis and Angels Camp, and includes environmental and engineering services from now until 2016.

This Hwy 4 project will take many years, but as everyone knows, the danger on the existing road between Copperopolis and Angels Camp is known by everyone and many accidents occur on the hairpin turns.

The fights between landowners over how much money they will get from the State and which lands it will travel over makes the projects like this take longer than any of us  would like.
