Post Office Sponsored Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong is again in the spotlight, along with the US Postal Service while Congress is considering what to do about the USPS' continued losses.

Just since 2007 the USPS has lost 26% of its business
to online communication, bill paying, etc. This is only a drop in the bucket to what the future will be.

They are increasing stamps another cent higher in January, which is only a drop in the bucket to what they will have to do to continue their insane spending habits.

The USPS has lost $25 Billion since 2007, and failed to make another payment on their retiree accounts last week.

They are attempting to acquire even more junk mail advertisements in which to harrass the public, in addition to raising the cost to us of a stamp.

Now we learn that the USPS spent at least $31 million sponsoring the Lance Armstrong cycling team that has now been accused of doping, with Armstrong having all of his wins stripped.

The Postal Service's and their union, the APWU's refusal to layoff or cut back enough to cover their expenses is staggering; the APWU's website tells the story of the problem.

Where did the money come from to sponsor Armstrongs cycling team? From our postage stamps? What else have they thrown money away on?  So many questions, and no good answers.

some of the people who work at the po are nice, but i'm not in favor of keeping them in business just to give them an easy retirement. i have to work for mine.
