Russ Thomas was the first candidate to weigh in on the question "Would you support a noise ordinance?"
Thomas responded, "Absolutely. I've been pushing for a nuisance/noise ordinance for years. So far, it has been like trying to push a large stone up hill, but I sense we'll see see one.
Chris Wright, on the other hand asked, "It depends. Do you have one for me to review?" which we thought was a little strange, that perhaps he hasn't been paying attention to the Board of Supervisors study sessions. Maybe reading the draft for the proposed Noise Control Ordinance would help.
Update from Candidate Wright: My basic philosophy is if you can fix the problem without a new law then do that if not then you need to look other solutions. Just having a noise ordinance does not necessarily fix the problem but understandable why people are looking at it.

How can Wright be so Wrong? Has he not been following the serious noise problems in the county. Maybe he should actually talk to the public and find out what their concerns are.
Thomas has been pushing for a noise ordinance for years? Really... just not consecutively and where did he get us? We still don't have a noise ordinance. We need results not the "sense" we will see one.
