What they recommend is exactly what their sponsors, the gun manufacturers, wnat them to do; sell more guns!
To every single school, hire a security guard and arm them to ptotect the children. Of course! Why didn't we think of that?
Don't look so shocked! They are well paid to sell guns; and the more the better. It's big money in this country. Scare everyone into believing that MORE guns are the only way to protect yourself and your children against guns.
We are 5% of the world's population in the world and have 50% of the guns of the world. But the reason we have the most violence and killings with guns has NOTHING to do with guns!
It's all about the MONEY!

Think about it for a moment? Didn't Obama want brown shirts, hometown militia? Now he's got it!
I'm not saying it would not help. But does anyone really want to live in an American where we need armed gurards at elementary schools??
Think of the jobs it would create.
