Tree falls on Hwy 49
March 29, 2024 at 2:45: An oak tree has reportedly fallen on hwy 49 at Fourths Crossing outside San Andreas.
Caltrans has been notified of the traffic hazard.

Collision in Double Springs
March 28, 2024 at 10:20 AM: A vehicle collision has been reported at Hwy 12 and Double Springs Road in Double Springs.
An ambulance is responding to the scene.
Chains on Hwy 4
March 28, 2024 at 9:10 AM: Caltrans is requiring chains on vehicles driving on Hwy 4 above Cabbage Patch.
It is somewhat clear today, but be extra cautious and watch for icy conditions.

March 27, 2024 at 1:45 PM: A black cow has been reported on Hwy 49 near Tonzi Road in Sutter Creek.
Be extra cautious until CHP can locate the owner and clear the roadway.
Collision in Murphys
March 27, 2024 at 1:40 PM: A collision has been reported on Skunk Ranch Road and Ponderosa Road in Murphys.
No injuries were indicated, but mirrors were wiped out.
Storm headed our way
March 27, 2024 at 9:15 AM: A new storm is apparently headed in our direction with storm warnings issued for 11 AM today through 11 AM March 28, 2024.
Be prepared if headed for the mountains. Chains will likely be required about 5000' on Hwy 4.

Horsespeak holds murder mystery dinner
Horses and Burros for adoption
On March 22 and 23, 2024 the BLM will offer 20 wild horses and 10 wild burros for adoption.
The event will be held at the Diamond Bar Arena at 6055 Central Avenue in Ceres.
Animals will be available on a first come, first serve basis 9 to 5 each day. Preview is Thursday March 21, 2024 3-5 PM.

Chains required on Hwy 4
March 1, 2024: Caltrans is requiring chains on Hwy 4 at Cottage Springs this morning.
There is still no snow in Arnold, but later on the chain requirement is likely to move down the hill.
