   On November 26, 2019 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Daniel Adam Maples (52) of Mokelumne Hill at his residence on Jesus Maria Road.

   Maples was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly being a Felon

      November 26, 2019 at 10PM:  A car has run off the Hwy 4, down the embankment and into a tree at Sunset Ridge Road near Forest Meadows.

   No injuries have been reported, but the car may not be recoverable tonight.

   According to Caltrans, both Ebbetts Pass (Hwy 4) and Sonora Pass (Hwy 108) will be closed at noon today, November 26, 2019.

  This is due to the storm that is expected to leave around 3 feet of snow in the upper elevations. It will be closed just above Bear Valley.

Parade route closed to traffic

   On Saturday November 30, 2019 Hwy 49 will be closed to through traffic, according to the Angels Camp Police Department.

   The annual Christmas parade will take place from approximately 4:45 PM to 6 PM in the downtown section of town.

   On November 19, 2019 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested David Frank Adams, Jr. (38) of San Andreas on McCauley Road in Valley Springs.

   Adams was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Evading a Police Officer, a felony and for 4 outstanding warrants for various alleged offenses.

   As of 6 PM on Tuesday November 19, 2019 Caltrans plans to close both Ebbetts Pass (Hwy 4) and Sonora Pass (Hwy 108).

   This is in anticipation of the snow storm that is expected.  Carry chains and be prepared for slippery roadways in the mountains.

Attempt to dissuade witness arrest

   According to the Calaveras Sheriff's Office, on November 8, 2019 Brian Michael Lancaster (33)  of Murphys, was arrested  at the Calaveras Courthouse.

   Lancaster was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Dissuading a witness through threats.
