   January 17, 2019 at 10:20 AM:  A vehicle collision was reported on Hwy 4 at Poole Station Road below Angels Camp earlier this morning, where a car rolled over into the ravine.

Ghost Mall to be demolished

The original developer went bankrupt and many things,
including a casino were suggested, but nothing materialized

  At the January 15, 2019 Calaveras Supervisor meeting, Study Sessions to be held in 2019 will be discussed. Do you remember any being held in 2018?

Murphys man arrested for vehicle theft

   On January 10, 2019 CHP arrested David Arthur Eastwood (19) of Murphys on Middle Drive in Arnold.

   Eastwood was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Vehicle Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, both felonies and for Vandalism and Petty Theft, both misdemeanors.

Calaveras Supervisors put Jeff White back in Building Department job

   At the January 15, 2019 Calaveras Supervisors meeting, Jeff White is on the agenda to be rehired as the head of the Building Department, at least for the interim.

   January 8, 2018 at 8:55 AM:  A two car collision was reported on Hwy 26 at Escalon Bellota Road in the Linden area, and then a Jeep crashed into the collision.

   An ambulance and tow trucks for three vehicles now required.  Be cautious if in that area.

Collision on Pardee Dam Road

   January 8, 2018 at 8:25 AM:  CHP and a tow truck are back at the scene of an RV that collided with the bridge at Pardee Dam late last night.

   The snow is flying in Arnold and it is beautiful, like it should be this time of year.  Don't try to drive up Hwy 4 without bringing chains.

   We haven't seen Caltrans plowing yet, and we've already heard of some cars sliding around on the roads.  Be careful!

Storm coming in..

   A storm that may bring another foot of snow to the sierra is on its way in. The wind is blowing and you better take down any remaining Christmas lights, or as the weatherman this morning said, they may get taken down for you, by the wind.

   Drive carefully and carry chains if heading for the mountains.  Yet another foot of snow is expected in yet another storm coming in Sunday night.
