West Point woman arrested

   On July 20, 2019 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Tonya Elaine Rogers (41) of West Point at the Academy Club on Main Street.

   Rogers was booked into the Calaveras Couty Jail for alleged Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, a felony.

Angels Camp Police nab shoplifter

   On July 20, 2019 Angels Camp Police arrested Shaun Nicholas Johnson (31) of Angels Camp in front of the Sierra Gas Station.

   Johnson was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Shoplifting and Receiving Stolen Property under $950 in value, misdemeanors and for Violation of Parole, a felony.

Collision in Murphys

   July 20, 2019 at 12:45 PM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Lawrence in Murphys.

    It is partially blocking the roadway, so be extra cautious.

Multiple vehicle crash in Escalon

   July 20, 2019 at 12 Noon:  At least 5 vehicles are reportedly involved in a crash on Escalon Bellota Road at Lone Tree Road in the Escalon area.

Motorcycle collision in Glencoe

   July 20, 2019 at 11:25 AM:  A motorcycle has run off Hwy 26 near Deardorff in the Glencoe area.

Fire on Tuolumne Road

   July 17, 2019 at 9:45 AM:  A vegetation fire has been reported on Tuolumne Road near Cherry Valley Boulevard in Tuolumne.

   Around a 50' spot has burned so far. One engine has arrived at the scene and has immediately contained the fire, which is located under a power pole.
