Septic truck overturned on Hwy 26

    September 22, 2021 at 1:30 PM:  A septic truck has reportedly overturned on Hwy 26 at Wall Road in the West Point area.

   Two got out of the truck.  Hwy 26 is blocked with emergency equipment. It isn't known if there are injuries.

    The San Francisco 49ers are in Philadelphia today to play the Eagles.

   The game starts at 10 AM our time.

CHP officer dies of COVID--

    Earlier this month a CHP officer assigned to the San Andreas unit in Calaveras County was diagnosed with COVID 19.

   Unfortunately, he died from the virus.  Many are asking "Was he vaccinated?" And if not, why not? Joseph Boberg was only 41 years old.

    On September 18, 2021 Frogtown will become a Cross Country event course.

    This event will take place all day long over the entire fairgrounds and part of the Tryon Ranch.

    September 16, 2021 at 3:05 PM:  A grass fire has been reported near homes at 4505 4x Ranch Road in Burson.

    September 15, 2021 at 10 AM: A motorcycle has reportedly collided with a car on Hwy 4 at Jack Tone Road just below Farmington.

    An ambulance and tow truck are responding to the scene.

Governor Newsome wins by nearly twice the votes

    Republican, anxious to grab any type of political power they can in the liberal state of California used the poorly designed recall law to try and remove Governor Newsome from his office.

   They failed, as they nearly always do, with the Governor getting nearly double the votes needed!  But it cost the state nearly $250 million of our tax money.

Pickup strikes light pole in Avery

    September 15, 2021 at 7:30 AM:  A white pickup reportedly ran off Hwy 4 near Moran Road and struck several posts, including a light pole.

   CHP is investigating. It was not blocking Hwy 4.

Arrest made for Hopkins Fire in Calpella!! Good job!!

    CalFire and the Mendocino District Attorney's office investigated and quickly arrested an ARSON suspect in the Hopkins Fire, which destroyed 10 homes and damaged two others in the town on Calpella.

    No name has yet been provided, but it is indicated that they are in the Mendocino County Jail.  Good job CalFire!!!

Arson suspect arrested

   On September 9, 2021 Calfire arrested a woman alleged to have set a series of arson fires around the city of Plymouth.

   She was booked into the Amador County Jail.

Arrest for threats in Vallecito

    On September 5, 2021 around 2:45 PM Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Michael Paul Galedridge (36) of Vallecito at his residence on Moaning Cave Drive.

   Galedridge was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Threats with Intent to Terrorize and Cauisng harm or death to an elderly dependent, both felonies and for Contempt of Court and Assault, both misdemeanors.

Valley Springs man arrested for threats

   On September 2, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Vernon Keith Moore (37) of Valley Springs at his residence on Stagecoach Drive.

   Moore was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Threatening a crime with intent to Terrorize, a felony.

Aggravated sexual assault of minor arrest

     On September 1, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Aaron Michael Green (35) of Copperopolis on Feather Drive.

   Green was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Minor by force, a felony and for Unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, a misdemeanor. 

Elder abuse arrest

    On September 1, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Rosann Christine Gentile (48) of San Andreas at her residence at 1330 Calaveritas Road in San Andreas.

   Gentile was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Causing harm or death to an Elder dependent, a felony.

Firearm arrest of Valley Springs man

   On August 31, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Stephen Douglas Rennison (38) of Valley Springs.

   Rennison was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Possession of a firearm by a felon/addict.
