Calaveras Community Foundation allowed to pursue county employeesl

The Board of Supervisors has passed, with the help of Brent Harrington and Lynnette Norfold (retired county employees who sit on this non-profit board)
to be allowed to make pleas to county employees to make payroll deducted donations to the Calaveras Community Foundation.

We spoke to several people who remember when they worked for a utility company, the pressure to donate to the Unitded Way, a nation-wide non-profit, and the type of pressure they put on each and every employee to make sure everyone donates.

It affects promotions and general treatment in many companies.

The hope we have is that absolutely no county employee will ever feel spoken or unspoken pressure to donate to this organization.

Also, the county will be taking the first 1.5% of the money and then the Calaveras Community Foundation takes 1.5% per year.

If any county employee ever does feel pressured, we will be interested in hearing about it.

I feel pressured to correct you. Mr. Harrington offered the 1.5% remuneration to the county.
