    A fire was reported on August 27, 2025 at around 10:30 AM at Foothill Village in Angels Camp.

    All residents were evacuated. The fire was contained to one small room. One person was transported to the hospital.  The sprinklers was activated.

Major injury crash on Hwy 26

    Auguat 26, 2025 at 7:30 PM:  A head-on crash has been reported on Hwy 26 near Shelley Road outside of Jenny Lind.

   Two minivans are apparently involved. An ambulance is responding for major injuries. Hwy 26 is blocked.

    We've heard a lot of complaints about the wasps this summer, but this morning we understand that one person was actually attacked.

   While walking on Shoshone Drive in Big Trees Village the person only got away after more than 15 stings.  Good thing they were not allergic.  Be cautious!

Head-on collision on Hwy 26

    August 23, 2025 at 2:30 PM:  A head-on traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 26 at Warren Road in Rancho Calaveras.

   One person has apparently died from injuries. The trailer with the boat on board is demolished.

Smoke from Coyote Fire in Ebbetts Pass

    August 21, 2025:  The Coyote Fire has burned over 600 acres near Volcano in Amador County.

   Smoke is driftingt over Ebbetts Pass.  This fire is very near the Caldor Fire of 2021.

   August 18, 2025 at 2:30 PM:  A fire has been reported at Hwy 104 and Hwy 124 in Ione, near the Calfire Academy.

   Hwy 104 is shut down at Sutter.  Be cautious if in that area. 

Vehicle high-centered on Hwy 49

   August 17, 2025 at 11:50 AM:  A vehicle is causing a hazard on Hwy 49 at Del Orto Road in Mokelumne Hill, in front of TNT Fireworks.

   The vehicle is high-cenered on the divider strip. A tow truck is responding.  Be cautious if headed in that direction.

Fatal Rollover on Hwy 12

    August 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM:  A vehicle has reportedly rolled over several times in a collision on Hwy 12 at Burson Road in Burson.

   The vehicle is now in a field. At least one person died at the scene. An ambulance is responding.

   The fire department arrived and put out the fire. One report states there could be a Calfire truck involved.  An ambulance is responding.
