It isn't yet known if there are injuries.
September 17, 2025 at 3:15 PM: A car fire has been reported on Hwy 49 near Hwy 16 in Amador County.
It is not blocking the roadway. A tow truck and fire are responding.
September 17, 2025 at 12 Noon: A traffic collision has been reported on Camanche Blvd at Lake Camanche.
Minor injuries are indicated. Major front end damage requires tow truck.
September 16, 2025 at 3:45 PM: A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Lakemont Drive in Arnold.
One vehicle was pulling a trailer. No injuries have been indicated. Tow trucks are responding.
September 13, 2025 at 12 Noon: A Landrover has been reported on fire on Hwy 4 in Copperopolis.
Fire and a tow truck are responding to the scene. No injuries have been indicated.

September 9, 2025 at 12:10 PM: Two cars have reportedly collided at Hwy 49 and Poole Station Road in San Andreas.
It isn't yet known if there are any injuries.
September 8, 2025 at 2:35 PM: A car has reportedly run off Hwy 26 at Hagen Road in Rancho Calaveras.
It isn't known if there are injuries.
September 7, 2025 at 12:45 AM: A fire was reported on Boards Crossing Road just east of Sierra Parkway in Dorrington.
The fire department quickly contained the fire at 1/4 acre. Water tenders were dispatched to the scene. The cause has not been indicated.
During the evacuations due to the lightning fires in Calaveras, people brought their animals with them for safety.
A big thank you goes to the people who volunteered from Friends of Calaveras Animal Services (FOCAS) for all their help taking care of the animals who needed it.
September 4, 2025 at 4:20 PM; As of noon today the Six Mile fire is 605 acres, which means it only added 5 more acres and is 20% contained.
Good news!! Also known as the 2/7 fire.
UPDATE: Hwy 49 was closed for recovery and clean-up. It is now reopened.

September 2, 2025 at 12:30 PM: Two more lightning caused fires have been reported in Calaveras County.
One is on Hwy 12 at Toyon in Valley Springs and one is on Hwy 4 at Redhill Road in Angels Camp. The fire departments are keeping busy today.
September 2, 2025 at 10:10 AM: The rain is coming down in the Arnold area.
Be careful if on the roadway as it will be slippery.
September 2, 2025 at 10:05 AM: The heavy smoke has reportedly caused a car to run off Hwy 4 at Telegraph in Copperopolis.
No injuries have been indicated, but a tow truck is responding.
September 2, 2025 at 9:45 AM: A car has reportedly struck a tree on Mountain Ranch Road near Michel Road in Mountain Ranch.
An ambulance is responding to the location.
