Lew Mayhew says he's just a layman....

One very interesting speaker at the Calaveras Planning Commission meeting was Lew Mayhew, of Valley Springs.

The Planning Commission was hearing the request by Castle and Cooke (Dave Haley) to approve an 800 home development called "Sawmill" on December 13, 2012.

Naturally Mr. Mayhew spoke against it, as we have seen him do over and over again in Calaveras.

The issue we have is who he represented himself as;  just a regular layman citizen. Is this true? Are he (and his wife) not the ones who were instrumental in devastating Trinitas Golf Course and causing the foreclosure of the property?

Did they not start an organization called KIRC (Keep it Rural Calaveras) for that very purpose, seeking funding to fight their neighbors who wanted to have a golf course on the property they bought?

Nice neighbors, huh?  Were they so jealous that they could not afford the land that the beautiful Trinitas Golf Course was built on that they would fight anything the owners wanted?

Does Mr. Mayhew not want us to remind everyone in the County about KIRC, who has been jokingly (or maybe not so much so) called Keep it Poor Calaveras!

Why is Mr. Mayhew not bragging about what he did to the owners of Trinitas? Isn't he proud of his deed?
