If you received the email from CCWD about rate "adjustments", you know that they are raising
our rates for water again.Yes, even in a year where we have plenty of water, they are giving themselves raises and making it difficult for hardworking people to pay.
On Monday, August 14, 2023 at 5:30 PM a meeting will be held to discuss their reasons for the increases. We have no chance of stopping this, because only letters of objection from a majority of users can stop it.
There should be a vote of the population in order for increases to be allowed, but water companies have been sneaking this into every rate increase.
The meeting is at Ebbetts Pass Fire, but no matter how many of us complain, the rate increases are going into effect!!!!

Suspect complaining will do no good, it is probably a done-deal. Increase is one thing but these increases are way too steep and there are too many of them.
Let's get together and send them the letters that we object! More that do the better chance of stopping the increases not just water usage but both base rates for water and sewer. In five years, according to their plan, will be double of what it is today. Who wants bi monthly bills up to $600.00!
