UPDATE: The firefighters quickly got
control of this fire. UPDATE: Fire is now around 1/2 to 1 acre in size with
several outbuildings threatened.
A fire has been reported on Hwy 49 near the Calaveras County Airport on Carol Kennedy Drive.
Several engines, air attack and water tenders are responding to the scene.

Fire has been stopped, thank goodness. Air support was in the air out of Columbia within 5 minutes - so much faster response from air support this year, whatever changes they made are so very appreciated.
