Runoff Calaveras

While it seemed that not many Calaveras voters were really paying attention prior to the election yesterday, over 7000 did vote.  As they say, the only poll that really counts is on election day.

Both Judge positions and both Supervisor positions are in runoffs in November.  Sheriff Kuntz won his re-election for another 4 years.

Callaway will have a runoff against Oliveira in District 3 and Kearney will runoff in District 5 with Crane. The incumbent Spellman was eliminated and will be looking for a new job today.

No wonder Karl Rove nixes Donnelly

In case you wonder why Karl Rove nixes the Tim Donnelly campaign for Governor, its because of his wacko statements  like this one:

"This whole thing (the Governor's race) is up for grabs."  HUH!  What planet is this guy from, anyway. Yes, Rove is correct. Donnelly is a total embarrassment for the GOP.

Art Moore, Veteran and Bronze Star recipient..for Congress!!

UPDATE:  Last night on channel 3 News, they ran a special on the contest between Congressman McClintock, who appeared very old and tired and Bronze Star recipient Art Moore.

Moore was going door to door shaking hands and meeting people, but McClintock only allowed a controlled greeting with certain people on camera. It was very telling.

Art Moore appeared still energetic and eager to get moving, and McClintock was very subdued and exhausted, and even his hair was out of control.
