Calaveras County gets ZILCH if ban cannabis
The State of California is going ahead with its plan to legalize cannabis and regulate it by 2018, and will be collecting large fees from the farmers.
Calaveras County, however, will NOT get ANY of this money for going after the criminal growers who don't register their grows in the county if we ban it. STUPID! STUPID!! STUPID!!

Cow injured by car at Camanche
February 2, 2017 at 7:30 PM: A cow was hit by a Toyota on Camanche Parkway. CHP is at the scene.
Caltrans has been requested to help remove the cow. The driver of the vehicle declined an ambulance.

Vallecito man taken into custody
On January 30, 2017 Calaveras Sheriff's deputies took Joshua Duane Rice (34) of Vallecito in the Calaveras County courtroom in San Andreas.
Rice was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged outstanding warrants, including two traffic offenses with special circumstances, misdemeanors.
