5 dead and 21 injured in West Texas shootings

   Three officers are included in the injured in a wild shooting spree from and car and then a hijacked mail truck in the towns of Odessa and Midland, Texas.

   Five are confirmed dead. The shooter is also dead, killed in a shootout with officers in a theater parking lot.

Motorcycle collision on Hwy 49

   August 31, 2019 at 7 PM:  A motorcycle has been reported as crashed on Hwy 49 and Dell Orto in Mokelumne Hill.

   An ambulance is responding to the scene.  Possibility of alcohol being involved in this collision.

Fire in Sutter Creek

   UPDATE:  Fire is approximately 1/2 acre in size.  Two other fires have now been reported along Hwy 88 in the Martell area.

Collision in Valley Springs

     August 31, 2019 at 11:40 AM:  A collision has been reported at Hwy 26 and Hwy 12 in Valley Springs.

   No injuries have been indicated.

Debris burn on Moran Road????

   August 31, 2019 at 10:25 AM:  Hard to believe but a debris burn has been reported on Moran Road near Linda Drive in the Arnold area.

   All burning has been suspended now for months due to fire danger.  Fire personnel are responding to the report.

Coffee Talk in Angels Camp

   On September 3, 2019 there will be a no agenda coffee talk at the Angels Camp Business Association office at 300 S. Main Street.

   The time is 8 AM to 10 AM and you do not have to be an ACBA member to attend.

Mini Cooper overturned

   August 30, 2019 at 8:30 AM:  A Mini Cooper has reportedly overturned on Red Corral Road and Defender Grade Road between Pioneer and West Point.

   Roadway is blocked. Attempting to get driver out of vehicle. An ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.

Nearly half of the Amazon Rainforest gone!

   Since humans started farming nearly half of the Amazon Rainforest has disappeared and the fires are still burning out of control.

   Since the president of Brazil, Trump and some other anti-Climate Change officials deny the effect, who knows how long it may burn.

City of Angels raising water rates again

   You know whenever the Angels Camp City Council says they want to hear from it citizens about whether to raise the water rates, that something is up!

   The usual course of events is that they have already made the decision and WILL raise your water and sewer rates soon!
