Motorcycle Injury Accident in Burson

   UPDATE December 12, 2012 at 6 AM:  CHP has released more information on the motorcycle accident that occurred last night.

   According to CHP Mark Allen Ferretti, 55 of Burson was driving his 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Chile Camp Road north of Gassner Road in Burson at an estimated speed of 30 MPH.

    As Mr. Ferretti traveled south the rear wheel of the motorcycle locked causing the Harley to skid.

   The motorcycle traveled off the roadway and the front of the motorcycle collided with the dirt embankment on the west shoulder of Chile Camp Road.

   The force of the collision caused the motorcycle to travel south, along the west roadway edge of Chile Camp Road.

   According the the CHP report, the motorcycle then re-entered the S/B lane of Chile Camp Road and then overturned which caused Mr. Ferretti and the motorcycle to collide with the asphalt roadway.

    Mr. Ferretti was transported by ambulance to the hospital with major facial and knee injuries.

   December 11, 2012 @ 6:39 PM:  CHP is now clearing the motorcycle accident scene on Chile Camp Road in Burson. One person is being transported to Mark Twain Hospital by ambulance.

   Use caution in that area.
