Calaveras County Election Results--With all votes counted as of 12 AM

  This is still the unofficial count;

  District 3 Supervisor    Michael Oliveira by 74 votes, the closest of elections, this will be a very divided district to represent, unfortunately


   District 5 Supervisor  Steven Kearney, a resounding win

    Judge Department 2   Tim Healey

    Judge Department 1   Grant Barratt

    CCWD  District 3   Bertha Underhill

    CCWD District 5   Dennis Mills

   CCWD District 2   Terry Strange

   Angels Camp City Council   Scott Behiel and Amanda Folendorf

   Calaveras Unified School District  Karen Bowsher and Kelly Smith

   Vallecito Unified School District  Heermance, Senn and Pratt

   Mark Twain Health Care District   Reed, Oliver and Radford

   Calaveras Consolidated Fire District:  Garrahan Allen, Petersen, Olson, and Omlin

   Saddle Creek Community Services District:   Hoffman, Russ and Albertson

District 3 has always been a divided district to represent. Four years ago the election was close. This year the pendulum swung the other way.
it will be an interesting two years until the next election for three districts, 1,2 and 4.
The General Plan and accompanying Housing Element, 1 1/2 years out, will be the deciding factors, who stays and who goes.

Not like it is now. This is a scary change for those who love the forest and its creatures.

I'm worried that the elected people are becoming less and less educated and more and more extreme.
