The State of California threw a party and no one came, it seems. Only 21.4% of eligible voters turned out to vote for the Governors election November 4, 2014.
When the overall turnout is low, the Tea Party types benefit. What will the Democratic Party do to get out the vote in 2016, or are they going to concede the Presidency to the Tea Party too?
