   Mary Helen (Wright) Ponte passed away at home while receiving hospice care at the Ponte Ranch in Fourth Crossing in the early hours of Thursday morning, October 24, 2019, after

400 fires by PG&E in 2018???

FOX 2 got an incident report while doing an investigation
and found that PG&E equipment started 400 fires in California
in 2018. Unbelievable.

Geese beginning to head South

The beautiful Canada Geese who live at Sequoia Woods during the
good weather months, are beginning to fly South. Their familiar
V's are not a long as they once were, due to hunting where they winter.

Collision in Coumbia

   November 3, 2019 at 7 AM:  A vehicle collision has been reported on Big Hill Road just outside Columbia.

   It isn't yet known if there are injuries. Be cautious if headed that way.

Vehicle over the side off Hwy 108

   November 2, 2019 at 10:30 AM:  A vehicle has driven off Hwy 108 at Snowhite Ridge Road outside Cold Springs and gone over the embankment.

   Emergency personnel, including an ambulance are responding to the scene.

Valley Springs woman arrested for fire

   On October 29, 2019  Calaveras Sheriff's deputies arrested Leeanna Lisa Corpening (21) of Valley Springs was arrested on Chestnut

Kincade Fire update

    The Kincade Fire has now burned over 77,000 acres and destroyed 174 homes so far.

   CalFire now has 70% containment.

Collision on Parrots Ferry Road

   UPDATE at 10:30 AM:  Parrotts Ferry Road is closed at the county line. Take Hwy 49 to Sonora.

   Good to see they do such community service.
