The fire is now near Hwy 36 outside Chester and near Lake Almanor. Beautiful area being destroyed.

It isn't yet known if there are injuries.
August 4, 2021 at 7:20 AM: A car has reportedly gone through a fence and struck a tree on Camanche Parkway at Lake Camanche.
No injuries have been indicated. Apparently the driver fled the scene, making this a hit and run.

An ambulance is responding to the scene. A tow truck has been dispatched.
