Dixie Fire threatens Chester

    August 4, 2021 at 11:40 AM:  Last night the small town of Chester was evacuated as the Dixie Fire broke the containment line.

   The fire is now near Hwy 36 outside Chester and near Lake Almanor.  Beautiful area being destroyed.

Vehicle crash on Hwy 49

    August 4, 2021 at 11:15 AM:  A solo vehicle crash has been reported on Hwy 49 near Fricot City Road.

    It isn't yet known if there are injuries.

Car vs. tree at Camanche

    August 4, 2021 at 7:20 AM:  A car has reportedly gone through a fence and struck a tree on Camanche Parkway at Lake Camanche.

   No injuries have been indicated.  Apparently the driver fled the scene, making this a hit and run.

Bronco vs. tree

    August 3, 2021 at 4:25 PM:  A Bronco has reportedly struck a tree on Pine Street in Valley Springs.

    An ambulance is responding to the scene.  A tow truck has been dispatched.

Fire in Groveland

   UPDATE at 4:10 PM:  Some engines have been cancelled, so they must be gaining

Car vs. Olive tree in Plymouth

    August 3, 2021 at 12:30 PM:  A car has reportedly struck an olive tree at Shenandoah Road and Bell Road in the Plymouth area.

   An ambulance is responding to the scene.  The car is overturned.

Big rig runs off Hwy 49

    August 3, 2021 at 11:10 AM:  A big rig has reportedly run off Hwy 49 near Jackass Hill on the Tuolumne side of Melones. 

   It isn't yet known if there are injuries. Be extra cautious if headed in that direction.

    As of August 3, 2021 the Tamarack Fire is 68,000 acres, but is now 82% contained. How can the little town of Markleeville come back?

   One person who drove over Ebbetts Pass through Markleeville said that both sides of the highway are blackened, just devastating.

    One person is currently hospitalized.

Caltrans truck in crash

    August 2, 2021 at 8:05 AM:  A Caltrans truck was involved in a collision on Hwy 4 at Hell's Kitchen in Ebbetts Pass.

     No injuries have been indicated.
