CHP report on Hwy 4 head-on crash

    According to CHP on August 2, 2021 around 1:30 PM Jessy Lee Woodard (23) of Bear Valley

was driving a 2003 Subaru Outback on Hwy 4 and Rhonda Santen (65) was driving a 2003 Subaru Outback on Hwy 4 in the opposite direction.

   For some unknown reason apparently Woodard crossed the double yellow line causing a head-on collision with Santeen.

   Woodard suffered moderate injuries and was flown to UC Davis Medical Center. Her 3-year old passenger was also flown to UC Davis with major injuries.

   Santen was flown to Doctors Medical Center with major injuries.  Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
