    Today, April 30, 2021 Calfire is holding a control burn on 8 acres surrounding their station in Arnold.

     We guess they want to make sure their building doesn't burn down.

    Several engines and water tenders are responding to the scene.

Collision on Hwy 4

    April 27, 2021 at 4:40 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Bonanza Mine Road in the Copperopolis area.

   An ambulance is responding to the scene.

Fire reported below Yosemite

    April 27, 2021 at 1:30 PM:  A fire has been reported in the mountains below Yosemite, not far from Oakhurst at Hwy 49 and Hwy 41.

   Several engines and water tenders are responding.

Front yard collision in Jenny Lind

       April 27, 2021 at 1:05 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported landing in the front yard on Jenny Lind Road in Rancho Calaveras.

   Vehicle went through a fence. Injuries are not yet known.

Collision in Mokelumne Hill

    April 27, 2021 at 8:45 AM:  A car was reportedly struck while backing out of their driveway on Hwy 26 in Mokelumne Hill.

    No injuries have been indicated.

Collision in Columbia

    April 27, 2021 at 7:35 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported at Hwy 49 and Parrotts Ferry Road in Columbia.

   Minor injuries are indicated. The roadway is blocked.  The collision was with a deer. No warning whistles?  Going too fast?

Chains required on Hwy 4

   

April 26, 2021:  Caltrans is requiring chains on vehicles on Hwy 4 at Cottage Springs in Ebbetts Pass.

    Drive extra carefully if headed to the mountains today.
