Car vs. pole in Mountain Ranch

    October 18, 2021 at 8:45 AM:  A car has collided with a pole on Sheep Ranch Road at Mountain Ranch Road in Mountain Ranch.

   The pole is sheared off at the base, but no lines are on the ground. It isn't known if there are injuries.

Cement spilled on roadway

    October 16, 2021 at 12:15 PM:  Concrete has reportedly been spilled on the roadway at Hwy 26 and Hwy 12 in Toyon.

   Be extra cautious until Caltrans can get it cleared.  A truck apparently made the corner and it fell out. 

Caltrans closing Ebbetts Pass

    On October 17, 2021 Caltrans is closing Ebbetts Pass Hwy 4 and Sonora Pass Hwy 108 in the afternoon.

   This is a safety measure in anticipation of a storm headed our way Sunday evening.

Collision in Railroad Flat

    UPDATE:  Major injuries were caused by this collision.

Control burn in Mokelumne Hill

    On October 18, 2021 Calfire will conduct a control burn at the Mokelumne Hill Cemetery.

    Apparently they are attempting to create a larger burn clearance area.

Collision on Hwy 4

    October 15, 2021 at 8:50 AM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Milton Road below Copperopolis.

   An ambulance is responding. The roadway is blocked so be extra cautious if headed that way.

Illegal burn pile escape in Avery

    Fire personnel are mopping up what was around a 3 acre fire caused by an illegal debris burn on October 14, 2021.

   It was a slow moving fire and Calfire quickly brought it under control on Valley View Drive in Avery. 

Illegal debris burn in Tuttletown

    October 14, 2021 at 1:15 PM:  An illegal debris burn has been reported on Hwy 49 at Wilcox Ranch Road in the Tuttletown area.

   Several engines are responding to the scene.
