The Sierra Sentinel feels it needs to make an apology in the situation that appears to be causing Supervisor Spellman worry about his re-election and/or future higher elections.
At least judging from the number of e-mails we have received in the last two days, he is extremely desperate and positively under extreme duress about his future electability.
According to his e-mails, he blames the Sierra Sentinel articles for this concern. As our readers may recall, Mr. Thomas also wrote us that he blamed the Sierra Sentinel for his loss to Mr. Spellman.
Like Mr. Thomas, Spellman takes absolutely no responsibility for his actions, offers NO APOLOGY, and in fact has made many threats.
The Sentinel editorial staff, therefore wants to apologize......for getting the residents and voters of District 5 into this situation by supporting Spellman against Thomas at the time.
Now we realize what is going on and will continue to try to make it right, attempting to find District 5 a good representative for their needs.
Again, we apologize to you for not knowing what was wrong in the beginning. We will continue trying to make it right now.
