Letter to the Editor......About Gun Violence as Population Control?

   Dear Editor:

I have never been either pro-gun or anti-gun, but after watching the news of the horror
of the children 6 years old being shot multiple times with an assault weapon of some type, I know that something has to be done.

Does the NRA feel that a gun-violent society is the way to population control or what?

Both more regulations of guns, guns required to be locked in a gun safe, and more mental health access is necessary to curb this.

But did you notice that Meet the Press invited every Senator that had taken money from the NRA lobby to come on the show and defend their position this morning. NOT ONE AGREED!

This is not what I want the United States to be known for. Did you hear that another three were killed yesterday in a hospital?

Are the mentally ill in Calaveras County allowed to carry guns? There is a lot of talk that they are. Why?

Let's all push our elected officials to put a stop to this horror in any was we can! Shootings should not be our way to control population!

You're right Ed in Ebbetts Pass. We should blame the gun, rather than the operator of the gun. Give up the gun, he'll come at you with a knife. Give up the knife, we don't eat. Give up everything but dope and cars, he'll take you out with a car and being highly under the influence.
Here's a novel thought, stop having children, you can end the human race without a shot fired. No one being knifed. It will just be the end of the line.
Won't the environmentalists be happy. Earth without humans.

1927 was the worst school violence incident. 45 killed, not by a shooter, but by a bomber/dynamite.
What about Waco, Texas, not a school, but children-all ages, adults killed by the federal government with guns, rifles, tanks and flame throwers. But it wasn't a school. Different classification?

Of course guns don't kill people....people kill people. But lets not forget they do it with guns. And no, you cannot kill 20 people in a few minutes with a knife. So anyway you put it......easy access to guns has created a problem. Period. Right wingers do not want any gun control and they do not wany any health care for the poor and now they are stunned that crazy people with guns are out shooting kids?? Careful what you ask for.
