In the past year the decay of our elected government in Calaveras County, which actually began with the election of Sheriff Kuntz, then Supervisor (BULLY) Edson, and finally Kearney and Oliveira, has destroyed any resemblance
of honor or reason.
As is happening nationwide, the hate factor of what has become known as the tea party movement is like an arsonist lighting fires of unrest and violence within the bowels of our society, and Calaveras County is included in this raging inferno, spreading like the Butte fire.
Our first glimpse of this in Calaveras County was the failure of our Sheriff's Office to protect the public; a cognizant turn away from the good and hardworking people, towards the racist, criminal and gun violence loving gangs.
These low-lifes, close personal friends of Sheriff Kuntz, attempt to get what they want through violent threats, harassment and other criminal acts.
Though Kuntz is now dead, unfortunately his policies appear to continue at the Sheriff and DA's office.

You do have a way of waking me up, sentinel. Will the supes fix the Sheriff's office by appointing an outsider or continue the problems by appointing one of their own insiders?
I remember Captain Macedo talking about Kuntz spending his days talking to weird people. Are these the ones??
The ones who say they have come out from under their rocks because certain elected officials not only condone it, but encourage it.
