On October 15, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies cited William Alexander Benton (43) of San Francisco for possession
of drugs and paraphernalia after finding him parked near a closed business in Valley Springs.On October 23, 2021 deputies again encountered Benton near the West Point Veterans Hall and located 33.8 grams of methamphetamine and other items consistent with sales of illegal drugs.
This time he was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail and is being held on $33,000 bail for alleged felonies.
