As most of us are aware, the so-called prescribed burn at Big Trees State Park last fall went awry,
as often these prescribed burns do.
The killing of two of the Giant Sequoias is evidence that no organization can control these fires, and they should be curtailed immediately, in our opinion.
Supervisor Martin Huberty is holding meetings with those responsible and says his confidence is shaken for the burn policy after the killing of those two known as the "Orphans".
STOP all prescribed burns. There is no evidence that killing our Giant Sequoias is going to prevent
future forest fires!!!

Whoever was responsible, whoever kept it a secret and whoever thought it was a wonderful idea should be in JAIL!!!
How sad, those wonderful trees....
All burning should be banned in D3.
I understand your concern, but as long as Governor Newson is directing the State Agencies to conduct these burns they will continue. Start at the top and you may see some change.
You know, I think lots of people are falling for the fear factor of a big fire and the governors office is allowing the right wing to strip our beautiful forests, creating more climate heat.
