Fire near Hogan Reservoir

    As of August 4, 2026 at 7 PM CalFire has the Gann Fire, which was reported around 5:30 PM on the 3rd, to be 2100 acres with 0 containment.

  Coming down Hwy 4 you can see the entire skyline towards Angels Camp and San Andreas, clogged with smoke.

   The Gann Fire is burning just below Hogan Dam in the Rancho Calaveras area.  Evacuations have been issued.
