OP-ED: If I didn't hate Trump before....

   After yesterday's speech about the National Parks, I can't believe how much I hate Trump. 

   Now that I know he can't even pronounce Yosemite correctly, our beautiful National Park, I know that this incompetent, evil, hateful racist must be eliminated from the White House in November.

Boil water notice from Avery to below Forest Meadows

   CCWD has issued a boil water notice to all residents from Avery to below Forest Meadows where the new pipeline is being laid.

   We aren't sure how long this will go on. 

Angels Camp City Hall has moved

   We just learned that the Angels Camp City Hall, which was located on Hwy 49, has moved to Monte Verde Street, next to the police department.

   They are still closed to residents, but they are available by phone at 736-2181.

Traffic collision outside Jamestown

   August 4, 2020 at 12:10 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 108 outside Jamestown.

   An ambulance is responding due to major injuries.  The car is on top of large branches. 

Traffic collision in Arnold

   August 3, 2020 at 2:35 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold.

   Emergency personnel are responding to the scene.

Valley Springs man arrested

   On August 2, 2020 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Kristopher Enders (22) of Valley Springs at his residence on Glen Court.

    Enders was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Assault and Battery, both felonies.

Fire in Groveland

   August 3, 2020 at 1 PM:  A vegetation fire has been reported on Wards Ferry Road in Groveland.

   Aircraft and engines, plus water tenders and dozers are responding.

   UPDATE:  Fire was quickly extinguished. Additional units have been cancelled.

Motorcycle collision on Hwy 4

August 2, 2020 at 1:50 PM:  A motorcycle collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Hunt Road in Copperopolis.

   An ambulance and other emergency vehicles are responding.

Fire in Jamestown

   UPDATE:  Some units are being released. The fire is being brought under control.

Dangerous fire in Angels Camp may have been arson

   The fire on July 31, 2020 in downtown Angels Camp damaged one home and could have been disasterous for the area.

   It is possible that the fire was set. An investigation is under way.  This was near Utica Park.

CHP on Camanche Parkway for traffic contol

   August 1, 2020 at 8:15 AM:  CHP has been dispatched to do traffic control on Camanche Parkway at Lake Camanche.

   Every weekend large crowds come to the water to cool off. Drive carefully.
