Vehicle crash in Bear Valley

    February 10, 2024 at 2:40 PM:  The Alpine County Sheriff is doing a welfare check on Cub Lane in Bear Valley after a vehicle crash was reported on Hwy 4 near Cub Lane.

   Concern that there may be a missing person was expressed, but it is believed they were found.

Road rage incident on Hwy 12

    February 10, 2024 at 2 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 12 at Southworth Road in Burson.

   Apparently it has escalated into a road rage incident with one party refusing to move out of the roadway. CHP is responding.

For 30 years Toby Keith has entertained America with his

yesterday at the age of 62 of stomach cancer. One of

Drug and Firearms arrest in Angels Camp

    On January 30, 2024 at around 12 Noon the Calaveras Sheriff and others carried out a home visit on Latigo Street in rural Angels Camp.

   A compliance check turned up a loaded firearm without a serial number or "ghost gun", and second loaded handgun hidden within furniture and drug paraphernalia within the residence.

   31 pounds of processed marijuana was also located and 44 year old Justin Reed, along with Kristen Reed, (41) was arrested for alleged charges including firearms, violation of probation and possession of marijuana for sale.
