On August 14, 2015 at approximately 5:41 PM Cal Fire responded to a report of a grass fire at Hwy 108 and Obyrnes Ferry Road in Jamestown.
Caused by a tree into the power lines, 1/8 ares was burned before fire was extinguished. PG&E was notified.

August 16, 2015 at 1:50 PM: A traffic collision involving four vehicles has been reported on Hwy 4 at Brice Station Road above Murphys. CHP arrived at 2:15 PM.

Big Rig rolls over off Hwy 120-speed blamed
August 16, 2015 at 1 PM: A big rig has rolled off Hwy 120 at the Hwy 99 onramp in Manteca. One witness said the truck driver was driving way too fast.
No injuries have been reported but debris will need to be cleaned up. Be extra cautious if traveling that direction.

Illegal shooting reported in Calaveras
On August 15, 2015 illegal shooting was reported on Moran Road near Murphys Drive in Arnold; off the balcony and towards the golf course from a balcony on Oak Wood Court in Copperopolis; on Blue Mountain Road in Wilseyville; and on Davis Drive near Burson Drive in Burson.
In each case, the Calaveras Sheriff took no report.
