Head-on Collision on Hwy 108--three fatalities--Tulloch Fire

  UPDATE: CHP has reported officially on this tragic collision that on
August 15, 2015 a still unknown woman was traveling in a 1997 Honda CRV westbound on Hwy 120 in the number one eastbound lane near Tulloch Dam Road.

    A second female driver, also unknown at this time,  in a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 was traveling eastbound on Hwy 120 approaching Tulloch Dam Road. There was one passenger in her vehicle, name also unknown at this time.

    The front of the Honda struck the front of the Toyota. The Toyota swerved to the right shoulder of the roadway and became engulfed in flames.

   The Honda swerved to the right and came to rest in the center median of the roadway. The female drive sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
   The driver and passenger in the Toyota also sustained fatal injuries as a result of this collision.

   A brush fire that was started had to be extinguished by fire personnel (Tulloch Fire).

   The identification of all three victims of this collision is pending further investigation.

UPDATE on August 7, 2015 :  Unfortunately, this collision is now a fatality.

     August 7, 2015 at 12:10 PM:  A vehicle has run 200' down over the side of Hwy 108 near Little Sweden in the Stanislaus National Forest.

   A Stanislaus Forest Ranger is at the scene. An ambulance is en route. Use extra caution if in the area.
